Flying has always been my passion, but it wasn’t something I could afford growing up. Instead of letting that stop me, I focused on what I could control—I studied math and engineering in college, knowing I wanted a career in aerospace engineering while also finding a path to becoming a pilot.
After graduating, I was selected for an internship with NASA at Armstrong Flight Research Center at Edwards AFB, which led to a full-time role as a space systems engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
With time, savings, and experience, I finally began flight training and earned my Private Pilot License (PPL). Flying quickly became a passion, and I built hours in a variety of aircraft, including Piper Cherokees, Cessnas, Pipistrels, and Extra 330s, even gaining aerobatic training along the way. I later earned my instrument rating and continued working toward my commercial license.
As my career evolved, I moved deeper into the aviation industry, working as a flight simulator design engineer at Virgin Galactic before transitioning to experimental flight test engineering at Supernal. My journey is still ongoing, and I continue learning and growing, always working toward a greater goal of becoming a test pilot.
